NOMEX®: CERTIFIED FIRE RESISTANCE

BUFF® Safety FR-rated flame-resistant balaclavas, hoods, hats, and neck gaiters have been tested and certified to the most stringent standards and offer superior fire protection. Much of this is due to the inherent protection of DuPont™ Nomex® fiber, used in most BUFF® flame-resistant PPE.
Designed with enhanced protection and comfort in mind, hoods and neck gaiters made with Nomex® offer excellent flame resistance and superior antistatic performance in single or double-layered, breathable stretch fabrics that meticulously blend premium aramid fibers, FR® viscose, or modacrylic. Choose from a range of head and neck accessories to suit your department's needs, from flame-resistant balaclavas and hoods for complete head protection to flame-resistant caps and neck gaiters. All offer custom design options to create original and exclusive BUFF® brand products.
All products in the Fire Resistant family have received EU certification in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and EN ISO 11612:2015 standards relating to "Protective clothing: Clothing to protect against heat and flames" and comply with EN ISO 1149-5:2018 standards relating to "Protective clothing: Electrostatic properties"

Firefighter Particulate Hood: Offers high protection in environments with thermal hazards, such as flames, contact heat, and radiant heat. Acts as a barrier against harmful and carcinogenic particles.

Certifications: CE - CAT III EN ISO 13688/13, EN 13911/17, EN 1149-5/08.

Antistatic protection: professional use for protection against static electricity.

Thanks to its trilaminate fabric and specifically the DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex® technology incorporated in its intermediate layer, this product blocks the passage of harmful microparticles, preventing them from coming into contact with the firefighter's skin.
